Pride had two faces today in this house. Pride born of a do it yourself spirit. The Boy, who had been annoyed by a loose tooth for days, took matters into his own hands (literally) and wiggled his own tooth out. He looked in amazement at the tooth in his hand and slowly smiled big and wide - pride in a full toothless grin up front.
The Bear has been working on a book project for a biography of Mia Hamm for about a week or so - all on his own - he didn't ask for a bit of help. Tonight he added the finishing touches - a "make shift Mia" made from an old Diego toy and some playdoh hair and a soccer ball he made out of playdoh. His creativity never ceases to amaze me and the pride for his work was written all over his face. Love these boys, their do it yourself spirit, and their two faces full of pride!
