Today was a vacation day due to the the first day of deer hunting season - yup that is what I said. That is something that I will never get used to - days off of school for hunting. Weird. But the kids took full advantage of the day and I managed to get the remainder of my Christmas decorations out - so I guess that's a win win. A sweet friend of The Princess spent the day here and all four of the kids played all day long.
Today, no matter how strange I think it is to have not just today but tomorrow off of school for hunting season, I am thankful for having had six nights that I did not have to make lunches. Hey - it's the little things sometimes.... ;-)
