While I held down the fort here with the kids and the dog, My Wonderful Husband finally got to LBI yesterday and spent the past two days cleaning out the mess. While I took the kids for their haircuts this morning, he was meeting with insurance adjustors and ripping out drywall.
Today I am thankful for being able to still keep a normal routine for our kids unlike far too many people we know and those we don't know that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. I am also thankful that that trash pile sits in front of our house - a house that is still standing - because many were not that lucky.
