The kindergarten classes participated in a writing contest. After learning about the author Mo Willems and his Pigeon books, the children wrote their own Pigeon stories in Kid Writing. The Boy was one of the 2 winners in the three kindergarten classes. His prize was a a book by Mo Willems. This is our award winning author pictured with his winning story and illustration. (you didn't expect a serious moment in this picture did you??)
"Don't let the pigeon drive the firetruck. Because he might bump into another truck. The police man might pull him over."
