P365 - 2017 - Day 66 - everyone likes bunnies
P365 - 2017 - Day 66 - everyone likes bunnies
With the temperatures expected to return to winter numbers and possible snow in the coming days, I decided it was time to decorate for Spring. I know there are still a few days until the official start of Spring. I know that March comes in like a lion. I know that is has been known to be blizzard conditions in mid March. I know. However, I thought that since Mother Nature is having a little bit of an identity crisis as of late that I might try to sway her with warm pastels and bunnies. Come on, everyone like bunnies right?

P365 - 2017 - Day 64 - birthday a day early
We celebrated My Wonderful Husband's birthday a day early since he will be leaving for work tomorrow morning. After a day of (what else) soccer, we had dinner out and some cake to celebrate another trip around the sun.

P365 - 2017 - Day 62 - The Lorax
P365 - 2017 - Day 62 - The Lorax
Today was our last elementary school Read Across America. My last Dr. Seuss costume. The Lorax seemed fitting in the current "climate"......so today The Boy "spoke for the trees" because "unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." "A tree falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean." - Dr. Seuss

P365 - 2017 - Day 61 - "How did it get so late so soon?"
P365 - 2017 - Day 61 - "How did it get so late so soon"
The anniversary of the passing of my mom is the same day as Dr. Seuss' birthday. With three young children, those two facts have stood in stark contrast over the past 11 years. Eleven years? It is impossible to believe that it has been that long that she has been gone... but then when I mark the passage of time in terms of Dr. Seuss and these three "characters", I sadly realize that it has indeed been 11 years.... This particular flashback was one of my favorites of these three characters... The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and 2. This was The Bear and The Princess' kindergarten year and the start of it all. This year, we will celebrate our final elementary school Read Across America Day with The Boy. That fact has me in disbelief. Time really moves fast.
"How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it so late so soon?" - Dr. Seuss

P365 - 2017 - Day 60 - Happy March!
P365 - 2017 - Day 60 - Happy March!
How is it March already? With temperatures feeling like Spring already, I am really looking forward to this fresh, green month! It's not so much coming in like a lion and I am hopeful it remains like a lamb.... Happy March!
