I am registered to take the Early Childhood Praxis next week.  Today was all about practicing.  I didn't have work, everyone was out of the house, and I just sat at my computer and simulated the test.  Fingers crossed I do well and pass next week.

The day after Super Bowl Sunday seemed like a perfect day for a long overdue cleanse day.  Getting to have chocolate for breakfast was just an added bonus.

These crazy kids and some of the nutty friends participated in Polar Plunge.  With air and water temperatures around 40 degrees, it was actually pretty balmy compared to past years.  But contrary to the message The Bear and his friends wrote across their chests...they were pretty cold.

Almost 20 years and three kids later and this is what "date night" looks like these days.  Don't be jealous of our exciting Saturday night out.....to Acme.  Yes, these days between work and the kids sports and social calendar, we don't seem to have much time to get out together.   When the kids were little we made the best of early bedtimes by using that time to talk or just watch tv together.  Now, we use our grocery shopping trips for some time together.  Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. The bottom line is no matter where I am with this guy, we are just happy to be together.

Today was The Bear's last basketball game with Southern Regional Middle School.  He is not planning to try out for the high school team.  He wants to focus on soccer, track, and schoolwork, so this was his final basketball game for Southern Regional.  He was happy to leave on a high note by scoring 8 points, having 5 assists and one rebound.

It has been over a week since our front doorknob and handle broke.  A week of not being able to use our front door.  I was beyond excited when this new doorknob and handle arrived in the mail!
