Today I am thankful to have gotten in a longer run and made it to 1100 miles so far for the year.  The way the rest of my week and weekend are shaping up, this may be the last chance I get to run for a few days....

Today I am thankful for hair dye...I say that every year.  But this year I am also thankful that I am no longer highlighting my hair...  I was never meant to be a blonde.  I am a proud brunette and I think I rock that brown hair. ;-)

I am thankful to have finally been able to make it to one of The Princess' Storm games.  I was especially thankful for all of the layers I had to protect me from the cold and crazy wind.

I am thankful for all of our traditions - ones that we carried on from each of our families and ones that we created ourselves with our kids.  But I am especially thankful for this tradition and so glad that we are doing it another year.  I look forward to reading these on Thanksgiving.

I have been coughing for days but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.... at least my body held off until break to break down.  So, while I am not getting as much accomplished this break as I had originally planned, I am thankful for the down time.

On this day, as with every other day of my life, I am thankful for these three amazing people.  I am blessed beyond measure to have a front row seat to watch them grow.  They are, without a doubt, my greatest accomplishments and their amazing accomplishments leave me in awe.

The Boy and his team the Wall Breakers made it to the finals of the NJ State Cup National Championship Series.  It was a big deal!  They unfortunately lost but they played an awesome game.  Today I am thankful for soccer.  There are many days when I question our sanity - running in three directions, the amount of money that goes into it, team changes, the need for earbuds on the sidelines....but nonetheless, the kids love this sport.  It makes them happy.  They have learned much more than soccer skills on the field over the years and for all of that, I am thankful.

Today as the day was drawing to close, I looked outside and saw this amazing moon.  It looked like pure daylight behind it and a rainbow around it.  It was so beautiful.  It was the perfect end to a day that gave me many things to be thankful for.  I am thankful for the ability for all of us to go to The Boy's State Cup semifinal game and watch him score the winning goal.  I am thankful for a day spent with my favorite people.  I am also thankful for the start of fall break!

As I dropped The Boy off at practice tonight and turned around to head home at 5 on the GSP South... I was mostly thankful that a) this is not my regular commute home and b) there were some good tunes on the radio.

Today I am thankful for running.  Running keeps me healthy and sane, has led me to find some good friends, and has shown me some beautiful places.  It has also given me a reason to wear some pretty cool socks.

It's that time again - November.  Time to stop and remember all of the things we have to be thankful for.  Well, actually we should do that everyday... but in November we have a tradition to do this and you just don't mess with tradition!!  Today I am thankful for this life.  That's all and that's a lot.
