It's Medal Monday and this is what we did this weekend!!  I'm pretty proud of us.

I am so proud of My Wonderful Husband!!  A year ago he decided to do triathlons and decided to do the AC Half Iron Man.  Today he completed the 70.3 mile race in 6 hours and 5 minutes!!  He has always been my iron man.  Now it's just official.

Two hundred (ish) miles later and we arrived at Hampton Beach.  I ran a total of 20 miles - four runs, 3.3 miles, 4 miles, 9.1 miles, and 4 miles.  We saw beautiful scenery, we laughed, we got lost, we found coffee, my headlamp burned out, the sun seemed like it would never come up, we didn't get much sleep but I got two showers... It's an indescribable experience that can best be summed up by this quote that we read along the way.....  "Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of no where.  Sometimes, in the middle of no where, you find yourself."  We are Ragnarians.

I am ready for my first run of this adventure!  We spent the day yesterday driving through NJ, NY, CT, MA, and VT, until we finally arrived in New Hampshire.  We began our relay this morning at 6 am and I am the 5th runner.  I can not wait to do this!

We are off!!  Team Resting Beach Face is ready for Ragnar Reach the Beach .  We will be driving to Bretton Woods, New Hampshire to begin our 200 mile relay that will take us to Hampton Beach, NH.  Bring on the miles and hills!

These days it's all about finding time.  I am constantly wondering what I did with all of my extra time many moons ago before kids..... I wonder if I could have some of that time back as a cushion right now?  We are constantly going a million miles an hour and in 50 directions so time spent all together or even just together with My Wonderful Husband is at a premium these days.  So it's about finding time, squeezing it all in and staying sane while we are at it.  To that end, My Wonderful Husband met me after work and before my faculty meeting and The Boy's game so we could have a quick cup of coffee together.

These freshmen are some of the hardest working kids I know (along with their 7th grade brother who was at his second practice of the night when I took this).  They go from school to practice or games and home to homework.  They do it with (mostly) no complaints and they rock it too.  I am so proud of them.

Someone is not thrilled about everyone being back to our crazy work and school schedules  - even with My Wonderful Husband home on sabbatical he isn't getting the attention he seeks.  We are all constantly running around and all The Pooch wants is to be able to open that cabinet on his own.

Finding quiet in a house of 5 people is next to impossible.  Trying to concentrate as I read three chapters for my graduate class requires some help - ear buds and some relaxing, brain boosting music.  I will take all the help I can get.

The first week of school is done and I think this photo is going to sum up my life for awhile....  my goal is to find and keep my balance.  Home, family, work, school and don't forget running.  I hope I can do it all.

I left my own classroom in December 2002 and today I step back in to a new classroom of my own.  It's my first day of preschool and I am ready for this.

Just like that they were off.  Back on the same bus but this time headed to high school and middle school.  How did we get here?  Go forth and learn new things, be kind, be strong, have fun, and remember that you are loved beyond words.  Go take this world by storm Leonard kids!  Love you!!!!

It's a tradition and you just don't mess with tradition.  The last night of summer vacation means Skipper Dipper.  Bring on the school year for my high schoolers and middle schooler!

I did it!  My last very long run of this marathon training and my second 20 mile run of this plan.  I am ready to run Freedoms Run Marathon and excited for Ragnar Reach the Beach!  Bring on the miles!

It was me vs technology today as I tackled my first online graduate class and my school webpage.  I am not going to lie, there was a moment when I wanted to throw my computer out the window....but I figured it out and I am pretty happy with my webpage.  The verdict is still out on my grad class.....
